Ladies dressed in silk, satin and velvet participated in the winter queen contest organised by Sarabha Ladies Club at Basant Resorts on January 6. But they were not in their full strength, thanks to inclement weather. About 30 participants took part in the competition which was divided into three groups. Ten each participants took part in below 35, 35-45 years, 45 and above age groups. Most of the ladies were wearing sarees while a few wore satin and velvet salwar-kameez. After the first round of catwalk, five ladies were short listed in each round. Instead of the question-answer round, there was a talent round in which ladies were asked to dance, sing songs or do momo-acting. A few members had also come wearing fur coats and woollen trousers while the participants could be seen without seaters and coats. The Prizes were sponsored by Bodyline and Creative Line, said Avinash Kaur Walia, President of the club. The results of the contest are: Below-35: Winter Queen Jyotsana Walia, first runner-up Anju Arora, second runners-up Rohita Sehgal 35-45 Years: Winter Queen Jasmeet Kaur, first runners-up Pammi Sidhu, second runners-up Darshi Chatwal.
